The electric control can be easily operated with gloves on and in the event of a problem the user can activate the folding handle to allow full manual control of the pole. This allows further extension and retraction in a manual mode by bypassing the motor. The pole can quickly be converted back to electric mode at any time by following 4 simple steps. Replacing the battery has been made as simple as possible to allow change over to happen during the mission if required.
